Since not everyone will visit the "comments" on blogs, I moved this comment from Jan to a blog so everyone can see it.

Hi Everyone! This is a Donna Update on Sunday October 26...I just talked to Donna and she has had a busy week. Was at Duke on Thursday for pre-admission testing while all went very well by all accounts. She has been given 3 potential "start" dates, Nov 3, 10 or 17 -- all Mondays. Will be traveling back to Duke on Thursday Oct 30 for add'l testing, and may get more info then.
She is aware her donor is a young man, but knows nothing else about him and probably will not know any more. We praise God for this young man's willingness to donate. We also praise God for everyone's prayers that have been heard and God has provided strength and support in so many ways.
Donna will be back in Roanoke tomorrow to receive platelets, should come home tomorrow night. We will keep you all posted during the next few weeks. Our love to everyone!

Since the bone marrow transplant will change Donna's DNA and the donor is a male, I wonder if that means she'll start spending Saturday afternoons on the couch watching sports?!?
ReplyDeleteLeave it to Bev to go there! I don't know about that but I'm guessing she's taken out her last bag of trash!
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming that you have your time set to PDT in honor of this being Donna's blog? Seems appropriate to me. Poor girl, she will shut this blog down before it even gets off the ground!
And will now rely on Joel To get the gifts and sign her name to the cards for all birthday, holidays, ect.
ReplyDeleteHello Donna,
ReplyDeleteJust want you to know that we are continuing to pray for your complete healing and that you can get back to doing everything you want to do. Just think what a testimony you will have when this is all said and done. it's obviously tough going through it but you are an inspiration to others. We pray God will surround you with comfort and confidence. You and your family will continue to be in our prayers. We know it will be alright.
Love, Mike and Sue Ward
Hi Domna
ReplyDeleteNothing special today-just had you in my thoughts and wanted you to know that! I talked with Mom today and we were talking about you-I hope your crazy sisters will not cause you to shut down the blog-I for one think it is a cool idea and I hope it will be a source of encouragement to you. Because as you know, we are all rooting for you to get back on your feet again very soon- you have been so brave and I for one am so proud of you. Love you dearly cousin
Hi Donna, I have tried to send you several comments but none went through. Finally Bev changed something on the blog so this is my 3rd attempt to send you one.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would be sending a message on a "blog" but this is so very cool! I love that we can all keep up with what the Lord is doing in this journey you are going through.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Joel. I love you both and look forward to the message telling us" Donna had her transplant and she is doing wonderful! That is coming soon. Love to you and Joel. A. Shell
