Wednesday, March 4

Donna has been working on her exercises with Mom this week. Still working on the goal of getting her stamina up in preparation for some more intensive type therapy--trying to get her able to sustain about 3 hours a day of therapy. Continuing to back down the steroids and watching her breathing very closely. So far, so good. Also, thanks to all for their prayers on Monday. Mom was able to drive over to the hospital even though they had some snow. She also is branching out--made a rush hour trek out to get chicken quesadillas, found the quesadillas and found her way back to the hospital!

  1. Wow - Mrs. P - I'm very proud of you! Venturing out in that snow can be a little tricky. Donna, keep up the good work with your Mom...we all know you can build that strength up, one day at a time.

I love ya bunches, and hope you and your Mom have a great day together!

  2. Now we have to do a cheer for GG, Go GG Go GG Go GG.
I love you guys so much. Thank you GG for being able to be with Mom on such short notice. I know she would do anything for me as you would do anything for her.
Keep it up Mom and I know you will be out of that place. Just remember, in God's time.

    Love You Bunches,
    Monica

  3. Sounds like Donna and Miss Ellie Mae are going to take the crown from me and Mom as being known as "The Dynamic Duo" Just shows what a Mom will do for one of her children- drive in the snow to get quesadilla's. I am impressed and I am also impressed with whoever knew how to spell quesadilla's!!! Donna and Aunt Ellie-you are both heros in my book!!! Love, Shurry

  5. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR THE PENNINGTON GIRLS! Sounds like you're both doing great. It's amazing what a Mom & daughter can do. All of you continue to be in my thoughts & prayers.

Sheri has finally gotten approval from her insurance company to start her radiation. (Another answer to prayer). She will be going to Bloomington, Indiana about the 25th of March and will be there for 8 weeks. It's simply amazing the many, many answers to prayer that have appeared for the both of you girls. What an amazing God! Take care!

    Love ya, Jeanette

    Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.

    The dance takes surrender, willingness,
    and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.

When I saw 'G': I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'.

    'God, 'u' and 'i' dance.'

    God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.

May you abide in God, as God abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life..

This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.

If God has done anything for you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.

    There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.

    And I Hope You Dance
