Monday, Day +76

Donna is at day +76 of her transplant. She is "down the home stretch" as far as treating the transplant goes. Of course, we all know about the setbacks she has had with the complication of DAH and TTP that have kept her in the hospital rather than being discharged to the clinic. Our specific prayer request for Donna is that her body will do some major catching up so that she can get to the point that she can be discharged from the hospital.

  1. Hey, Girlfriend - I know you're getting really tired of being in that place. But, I want you to know that I think you've been a real trooper throughout the whole process. You've fought hard and have never once complained. You've tried to have a smile on your face when you could muster up the strength to give one. You've walked and exercised when you didn't feel like even getting out of bed. You've eaten when you had rather do anything but look at food. You have been a shining example to those of us who take all of these things for granted. Thank you for your testimony. Thank you, my friend, for just being you!
    Love you,
    Suzanne

You have been an inspiration to me all the way over here in Texas. With your preserverance, with your willingness to keep fighting, with your unending faith, with your strong determination that you will win this battle. With your Never say Never attitude!! I don't know of many people who could have made it this far-but you have made it Donna- don't stop now-you are in the final stretch.
And she's off...............!!!! Remember your favorite scripture" I can do ALL things through Christ" Your cheering section is cheering extra loud this week- Love, Sherry

  4. Thank you Sherry. What you wrote is perfect for what Donna should hear.
Donna, keep that "strong determination" going strong. You can do it,,,,,you will do it. Continue to think POSITIVE!
Most folks who know you know you are a little on the stubborn side. Get your stubborn, turn it on, tell all of what you've been going through a big GOOD-BYE!!
    That is gonna happen.
    Love you
    K.

  6. Donna Update February 25:

A good friend of Donna's spent the day with her on Tuesday and found that Donna had been moved to the room next door, a slightly larger room. She had a pretty good day, did some walking and was continuing to eat really well. She continues to have trouble with strength and stamina, possibly related to some of her medications. Our Mom has headed to Durham to hang out for a few weeks. We will keep you posted! janet
