Four Hundred

What is 400? Well, it's not my age nor my my weight (no wisecracks, Jan!), and it's not the number of siblings I have (though I'm sure at times our mother felt like it was that many).

So, what is 400? It's the number of feet Donna walked today with PT!! Can you believe it? Let's get this in perspective---the entire length of a football field, including both end zones, is 360 feet (it's sad that I know that, huh?).

Isn't our God wonderful? We asked for His grace and He gave it. Donna has had a wonderful morning. The docs are pleased with her food intake over the last 2 days and her activity level has been amazing. After her 400-foot walk she sat up in the chair for another 1-1/2 hours.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to see the prior post (titled "Call For Help") if you didn't read it already

Ok...Ok....I'm gonna stop. Monica said in yesterday's blog we needed to come up with a cheer - and that's about all I can muster up for today. I know they were a little corny, but I was hoping to bring a smile to your face. (That is IF Bev did them right! ;0) )

But, I think you know how many are cheering for you Donna. And we can only push so much - it's up to you to do the rest. And as hard as it was for me to say that - I want to remind you how much I love you and to say I believe in you. What you've done today is marvelous! I told you that you and I will be walking laps around that place before long. Keep up the great work, Girly-friend. You're doing super! You ARE my hero!
    With much love,

In fact, people quit taking my calls...so let's tone it down a little, okay??? JUST KIDDING, you go as hard as you can and I will keep cheering from my little computer here, typing AS LOUD AS I CAN, GO!!!! love you lots, j

  5. PS -- Wow I just keep seeing that football field. I'm not sure I would be able to walk that far today! You must be in training for the big game on Sunday (Balto-Pittsburgh for the playoffs)...just a suggestion, send Carolie home before the game starts if you don't want her to cause a disturbance. Really proud of you and wish I was there to see it. love again, j

  6. I am so proud of you Donna. Keep up the good work. I don't know if you knew but I was a cheer coach for a couple of years & I have a cheer for you too....
There was a little bull frog who sat up on a log. He cheered for Donna & no one else at all. He fell of the log & bumped his little head, but when he got back up again this is what he said.. Go, Go Donna! Fight, Fight Donna! Win, Win Donna. Go, Fight, Win!!

You are always in my prayers.
