Status Quo

There isn't a lot new to report. Pretty much everything is in a holding pattern, not worsening and not necessarily better. The hematology team following Donna did decide to change her plasmaphoresis treatments. Instead of 1 treatment per day to end on Friday, they ramped it up yesterday and started doing 2 treatments per day for 5 days. So, I guess that pushes the wait and see period to early next week, as this 5-day treatment will end on Sunday.

All in all, Wednesday was a quiet day for Donna, which was probably needed after the day prior when she had a lot of activity with follow up tests, etc.

  1. Hey! I DO think you needed some rest yesterday! You've sure been going through a lot the last 2 or so weeks, which sounds kinda goofy for me to say because you've been going through more than 'a lot' since Dec. 1st.

The past 2 weeks though have been more since you've gotten 'past the horrible' affects of the bone marrow transplant. Now. You're getting back to the adorable Donna we all know. And that is not gonna be easier but I can only imagine you're better since you know who's there visiting you and are able to feel all of us praying for you, and loving you.

I love you Donna. So very, very much.

Thank you so much for continuing to update the blog- I do not think that Janet is the only hero in the family-ALL of you are-
one thing that we can all be thankful for is that Donna will be here to celebrate her soon to be birthday- Praise the Lord for that! Sherry

  3. Donna, I'm so glad you had a day of rest(?). I doubt that it felt much like rest! Thanks Bev & Jan for the daily updates. It means alot to hear from you daily. My prayers & thoughts continue to be with each of you and your families. I'm looking forward to the Shing-Dig! Some of us are sorta old & some of us are sorta weak, but we can have our own "Shing-Dig." It will soon be Emerald Isle time again, so bring on the "Shing-Dig!"

    Love ya, Jeanette
